The Town’s Best Solar Car Group
Prosper Solar Car is a group that is lead by a top level engineer that works with parents to mentor the youth of the Prosper area in the field of welding, coding, and developing solar cars. We find this to be a fun and engaging way to pass on important trade skills that are needed in the private sector. We are a non-profit organization for the betterment of our future.
How We Started In 2024
Prosper Solar Car started out as an elective at the Prosper ISD developed and lead by Enrique Elias a retired seasoned engineer who decided to spend his retirement teaching and empowering our youth in trade skills needed in the private sector. After a couple years being attached to the ISD we decided we would have more flexabilty and freedom for the team by detaching ourselfs from any ISDs and starting a NPO dedicated to this mission.
We Started Racing Solar Cars in 2016
Prosper Solar Car is a group with previous experience helping our teens reach their goals. We are well versed in all things that are needed to make a solar car project, and race the car safely
We Built Our Community In 2024
As the Prosper Solar Car program became popular among people from all parts of the community, Prosper Solar Car created an independent community to help our youth connect with this awesome hobby easily. This community is built from licensed professionals, previous team members, current team members, and parents of members of the group.

The Prosper Solar Car team is composed of the most knowledgeable and helpful individuals that have led youth the time and time again. The Prosper Solar Car team has succeeded in becoming the town's foremost Solar Car development group.
